Because nobody likes spending an hour reading a movie review, I bring you Quick Horror Movie Reviews, a site offering to the point reviews of horror films (with a dash of sci-fi and others) I watch on Netflix, late night television, from my personal collection, and the occasional trip to the theatre. Read, comment, enjoy!
This movie tells the tale of a woman who has memories of a horrific event from her childhood, as well as visions of horrible things that will happen in the future, but alas, cannot change the events of the future. By no coincidence whatsoever, her name is Cassandra (no word on if her middle name is Metaphor). This 1986 Australian film moves at a very slow pace and may bore you to tears. The only thing keeping it interesting in the first 70 or so minutes is the use of dreadful sound effects and music. The child talking similar to Danny from The Shining in the flashback scenes will also likely annoy you--I swear I was waiting for him to start spouting "redrum" any second. I will give the movie credit for having some pretty good death scenes, and the model in the film does get naked, so if that's your thing there's that, but I really can't say anything else positive about this movie. The acting ranges from bearable to awful. The twist is predictable and the end is atrociously bad. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.
